Welcome to my blog. As I said above, I am passionate about Digital Scrapbooking. It is so rewarding to create a memory using photos and digital scrapbooking kits.
My favorite scrapbooking site is Digital Scrapbook Place. The wide array of terrific designers drew me in, and the warm and friendly community that welcomed me are what possessed me to stay and call this place 'home'.
As I continue to post, (hopefully daily!), I will tell you more and more about what I call 'The BEST place in Cyber Space'.
I will also begin posting challenge links and specials that DSP and it's designers are having. There is always something going on, so be sure to follow along and join in the fun!
Today I am going to focus on a designer that is not only a fantastic artist, but one of my scrapbooking heroes and a wonderful photographer. I'm speaking of Lauren Bavin, the Head Designer at DSP. You can check out her blog HERE.
I am extremely excited to be working closely with Lauren the next 6 months. Her products (which can be found HERE ) are some of the best designs around. She loves all styles of digital scrapbooking, but her forte is probably the recreation of realistic elements for paper style pages. Self-taught, she has used Paint Shop Pro and Picture It, Illustrator and many other applications but her true love is Photoshop!!!
Currently Lauren runs three challenges at DSP, Gimme More Crops Challenge, Gimme A Copy Challenge, and Featuring You Challenge. She also frequently has a new Gimme a Clue Forum, which gives members a chance to help her design a kit.
Here is a rundown of her current challenges.
Gimme More Challenge - The Daily Grind This challenge is a weekly challenge, that runs from Monday to Sunday. Basically, you buy the featured kit, create a layout, post it in the Gimme More Crops With Lauren Gallery and receive a FREE kit! How cool is that! For this challenge Lauren also hosts a weekly chat every Thursday night at 8 p.m. EST. If you participate in the chat, Lauren also sends out a chat Freebie. So, you can actually receive 2 free items by participating in this challenge every week. This week's featured kit is The Daily Grind
Gimme a Copy 2012 - Round 8 A challenge to scraplift a featured member layout using a
previous Gimme More challenge kit. Lauren chooses a layout for you to scraplift, and usually creates a Quick Click Template you can purchase to make it even easier! As always with this challenge - If you use primarily Lauren's products, she will feature
all the layouts in her blog and will give away a free kit of the winners choice
to one person for every 10 layouts completed.
Featuring Your Layouts A challenge to post a layout with a specific product where
every layout gets featured on her blog and there are random draws for
prizes. For every 10 layouts, a free kit of the winner's choice draw.
